Good morning, poets and poetry lovers! We’re proud to announce the official release of our 20-page Inaugural Newsletter. For the past four months, we have worked tirelessly on this (our first) official project! With a host of advice from experts with newsletter experience, and kind donations from generous souls, as well as help from some great poets, we were able to complete this splendid project!
There are five main sections in this 20-page newsletter:
First: Rejection-The Anguishes of Denial, where we invited six poets to write a poem (20 lines or less) about “rejection.”
Second: When Submitting for Publication-an article by Charles Banks, Jr offering a few points of advice about the submission process.
Third: Health and Wellness-Afsaneh Derakhshan and Rakh Solid offer mental and physical health advice.
Fourth: Poet to Poet-a casual conversation between poets Charles Banks, Jr. and Melissa Medina about poetry and the publishing business.
Fifth: Poet’s Sense-two poets (Colin Gilbert and Jasmine Aequitas) were invited to write a poem about “Miley Cyrus.”
